William T. Obeid - President & CEO 

As the President and CEO of Gemini Real Estate Advisors, LLC, Mr. Obeid has overseen all aspects of Gemini’s activities since its inception in 2003. Under Mr. Obeid’s leadership and direction, Gemini has built a portfolio of real estate that includes 4.5 million square feet and eight hotel properties. Prior to Gemini, Mr. Obeid was the Director of Finance for Brookline Development Company. Prior to Brookline, Mr. Obeid arranged private financings and worked at the investment banking and private equity firm Needham & Co. Prior to Needham, he worked for a family office where he completed several acquisition and investment assignments for the group’s real estate division throughout Southeast Asia, Europe and Africa. Mr. Obeid has also worked in corporate finance at Smith Barney where he participated in over $1 billion of securities offerings to institutional and retail investors. Mr. Obeid began his career at The Blackstone Group, an advisory and private equity firm in New York City. Mr. Obeid graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Michigan.

Christopher F. La Mack - Managing Director

As head of development for Gemini, Mr. La Mack is in charge of every aspect of our development projects, which includes site selection, design, construction and tenant negotiations. Prior to joining Gemini, Mr. La Mack was the Director of Development with Brookline Development Company, LLC where he was responsible for sourcing and managing development opportunities. Prior to Brookline, Mr. La Mack was the Director of Construction and Design for Levine Properties, where he was responsible for various key aspects of the development and restoration of commercial buildings. Prior to joining Levine Properties, Mr. La Mack was employed by Glenwood Development Company as a Director, where he played a key role in the design, development and construction of grocery-anchored retail centers, hotels and office buildings. Mr. La Mack began his real estate career as a project manager for The Pyramid Companies, one of the nation’s largest developers of regional malls and mixed-use projects. Mr. La Mack is a graduate of the State University of New York at Delhi and is a Registered Architect in New York.

Dante A. Massaro - Managing Director

As head of acquisitions for Gemini Real Estate Advisors, LLC, Mr. Massaro has overall responsibility for sourcing potential retail, multi-family, and self-storage properties. Mr. Massaro also oversees the property management and leasing for Gemini's commercial portfolio  His real estate experience encompasses over 14 years in development, acquisitions and property management. Prior to joining Gemini, Mr. Massaro was the Director of Acquisitions for Brookline Development Company, LLC. Prior to Brookline, he worked as the Director of Acquisitions for Glenwood Development Company. Mr. Massaro, also an attorney, practiced law in Syracuse, New York, where he represented developers and other businesses. Mr. Massaro is a graduate of Cornell University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science with Distinction in Hotel and Restaurant Administration. He also received his Juris Doctor from the University of Buffalo Law School.

Michael Sullivan – Managing Director

 

As head of hospitality for Gemini, Mr. Sullivan is responsible for the company's hospitality investments. Mr. Sullivan has more than 15 years experience in the hospitality business, including operations, development, acquisitions and dispositions. Prior to joining the Manager in 2005, Mr. Sullivan was a senior executive with Starhotels International, an Italy-based hotel owner/operator where he was responsible for the company’s U.S. operations and acquisitions as well as global strategic planning. Previously, Mr. Sullivan was the Vice President—Asset Management for Sunstone Hotel Investors, where he was responsible for all third party managed hotels at this Southern California based hotel owner/operator. Prior to Sunstone, Mr. Sullivan was a Vice President with Colony Capital where he was responsible for the acquisition and asset management of approximately $700 million of hospitality related investments for this international private equity firm. Mr. Sullivan previously managed the internal audit department for ITT Sheraton and started his career with Price Waterhouse after earning a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Boston College.

Jeffrey Weissman – Managing Director

 

Mr. Weissman oversees Finance and Fixed Income Investments for Gemini.  Prior to joining the Manager in 2009, Mr. Weissman worked with Citigroup, Inc. from 1982 through 2009 where he was involved in real estate capital markets since 1997 as a senior originator, credit officer and underwriter for Citigroup Global Markets, Inc. and predecessor entities (SalomonSmithBarney and CitiCorp Securities, Inc). During his career, Mr. Weissman has been responsible for the origination of $6 billon of loan volume, including fixed rate senior mortgages, short-term bridge and mezzanine financings, preferred equity investments and construction loans as well as the credit approval and underwriting of $30 billion of loan volume. Mr. Weissman has a Masters of Science in Accounting and Taxation from Adelphi University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the State University of New York at Fredonia.
